Loreto was the first Spanish colonial settlement on the Baja California peninsula, founded by Jesuit missionaries in 1697. Many of these historical buildings and locations are preserved.

We start our tour with a walk along the boardwalk (Malecon) from the Marina of Loreto towards the first Spanish mission in Baja California. Your guide will stop along the way to explain customs, culture, and the city hall area.

Once at the mission, learn about the people who built it and details of the construction. You will be able to go inside the mission and see the church’s baroque interior.

Afterwards, we head to the mission’s museum for a glimpse into Loreto’s history, how it was for the missionaries, the conditions they lived in, and the legacy of their knowledge.
