Enjoy a scenic ride through Acapulco passing through the city’s three zones - old town, the Golden Zone and the Diamond Zone - heading south.

About 32 kilometres (20 miles) away, located on a quiet beach, is the Sea Turtle Rescue Centre. Operated by a local environmentalist, the centre works to improve the chances of survival for such endangered species as Golfina, Laud and Carey sea turtles.

Learn how the programme works and see baby turtles in various stages of development, from their eggs to the holding tanks where the hatchlings are ready to return to the sea.

Walk down to the shoreline where the baby turtles will be named before you release them into the open ocean. The number of turtles that are ready for release may not always match the number of participants.

A short shopping stop for arts and crafts and souvenirs will be made on the way back to your ship.
