A historic fortress 

From Fishguard, we drive south to the charming walled town of Pembroke via the Valley of the Western Cleddau and the town of Haverfordwest. There, we’ll visit the mighty Pembroke Castle. Learn about the fortress’ long history as the guide takes us through the endless passages, tunnels and stairways of this well-preserved castle. Stop by the Keep for tremendous views of the surrounding area.

  • Walking information: Walking involved (distance in meters/type of terrain):   Up to 2 km for participants to enjoy all elements of the excursion. The guide will offer guided tours at Pembroke Castle and Tenby, but guests may explore independently should they wish.  Mixed terrain with steps. Limitations for guests with walking difficulties.
