Depart from the Montevideo for a journey to the Santa Rosa Winery, a major exporter of Uruguayan wines located in the Colon Area in the outskirts of the city. Upon arrival, enjoy a reception given by the winery owners. Santa Rosa Winery was founded in 1898 by Don Juan Bautista Passadore, who is credited with developing varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay in the area. Santa Rosa is a major exporter of Uruguayan wines and is famous for producing exquisite Fond de Cave champagne. After a delightful tasting, dinner will be served in the unique setting of the winery cellar. Your meal will be accompanied by a live Candombe (Uruguayan music and dance) & tango show, followed by our return to the hotel.
