One of the most popular hikes in Norway - hiking from Mt. Ulriken to Mt. Fløien will give you an exciting cultural history as well as beautiful and wild highland nature and scenic views. Vidden is the highest level of the 7 city mountains and offers history from the ice age until today – and the best views of the area.
Transfer from Bryggen in downtown Bergen to the cable car of Mount Ulriken. The cable car, Ulriken 643, will take you to the summit where the hike starts, the guide will meet you at the lower station. From the city center to the cable car is a 10 minute drive. The terrain is easy, but uneven and can also be a bit muddy. The route is 13 kilometres and takes approximately 6 hours, including photos stops and short stop for lunch.
All hiking will be on a mountain path and not mountain road. The weather can change rapidly, and the climate is different from the city. This hike requires a good physical fitness and wind- and water proofed clothing.
