Come along on a sightseeing tour out of the ordinary in a five-twin engine Britten-Norman Islander aircraft. From the pier the 15-minute drive will take you to the airport where your pilot will meet you for a full pre-flight safety briefing before you take off. You will get a complimentary map and scenic air tour booklet, which gives you information on the places you will see. The flight will be an adventure of approximately 35 minutes giving you a taste of the rugged mountainous terrain, wild landscapes and the natural coastal beauty of this part of the Falkland Islands. A few places of interest you may see are Stanley, Gypsy Cove, Cape Pembroke Lighthouse, Lady Elizabeth shipwreck, Kidney Cove, Port Louis, Mount Tumbledown, Longdon, Two Sisters and Harriet, rock formations locally known as “Stone Runs”, Fitzroy Farm and Bluff Cove Lagoon. Photos are permitted on the flight, and if you have a keen eye you might spot a whales or dolphins in the ocean and even an albatross in flight.
