Surrounded by fjords and mountains, Narvik is a city with a very special history and an economy based on ore, logistics and technology. The city´s rich past includes important events in World War II – all documented in fascinating detail at the new War Museum. We start our trip here with a guided tour that gives insight into Narvik´s history and how it affects today´s city.
Narvik´s peninsula boasts fjords on both sides and spectacular mountains that invite you to explore. Before we visit the centrally-located Narvik Mountain with one of the most beautiful ski trails in the world, we will explore the surroundings with a guided bus tour that features the parts of the city that survived attack during WWII, as well as Narvik Harbour and several other sights. Next is Narvikfjell to take the gondola up 656 metres to the cozy Fjellheis resturant and a delicious lunch served with a breathtaking view of the Ofotfjord.
