Norway’s third largest city, Trondheim, was founded by the Viking King Olav Tryggvason as early as 977. Your tour starts from the quay and takes you to Norway’s only Gothic style Cathedral. Here you can marvel at the cathedral’s incredible architectural details and its exquisite works of art. After a guided tour of the cathedral, you have some time to explore on your own.
From Nidaros Cathedral the bus takes you to the Ringve Museum of Musical History. The museum is located on an idyllic spot just outside Trondheim and is enclosed by wonderful botanical gardens. Originally a manor house, it was the childhood home of Norwegian naval hero Peter Wessel Tordenskiold. At the museum, the history of Norway’s music will be brought to life by our enthusiastic tour guide.
