With snow in the mountains and the possibility of the aurora in the skies, winter is perhaps the most magical time to explore Norway’s rugged scenery on a hike.
Norwegians have a special connection to nature that draws them outside in all weather, which they call “friluftsliv”, meaning “outdoor life”.
You can get a better understanding of “friluftsliv” with the Hiking Pass which gives you access to four out of a choice of nine hikes during a 12-day Classic Round Voyage. You also have the option to buy individual hikes on board, depending on availability.
Each hike is led in small groups by one of our knowledgeable Coastal Guide, who’ll talk about a variety of subjects and highlight points of interest as we walk.
After a satisfying hike, your Coastal Guide might set up a campfire which you can huddle around with a hot drink, listening to local tales as the Northern Lights dance in the sky above.
