Get ready for a full day exploring the famous UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord, surrounded by snow-covered peaks, wild waterfalls and lush vegetation. Your trip starts with a drive up the steep Ørneveien (the eagle road). From the top there is a magnificent view to the fjord itself. Continuing to the serene Eidsdalsvatnet Lake, from where you can enjoy a picturesque ferry ride to Linge. Back on dry land, the excursion continues to the stark, wild, high-alpine areas, stopping en route for photos at the impressive Gudbrandsjuvet (Gudbrands Gorge).
High and low
One of the many highlights of this trip is the drive down the winding Trollstigen Pass with its 11 hairpin bends. Once you’ve reached the bottom, it’s time for a hot drink and a bite to eat before you continue on to the gentler landscape of the Romsdalsfjord. This great experience concludes with a dinner in Molde, before you continue your expedition with Hurtigruten.
