Panoramic view from Lookout Hills
The Lookout Hills rewards hikers with the finest panoramic view in Gros Morne National Park and the best chances to see moose in their natural habitat.
The trailhead starts at the Discovery Centre and rises steeply up the forested hillside to the wet meadow and barrens of the plateau. Continue along a boardwalk which leads you past the tree line to the summit of Partridgeberry Hill and the best panoramic view in the park covering Bonne Bay, Gros Morne, the Long Range mountains, the Lookout Hills Plateau and the Tablelands.
- Included: Park admission, bus transportation to starting point and pick-up at the end, and guides - we put our most experienced hiking leaders on this excursion.
- Clothing: Passengers must wear hiking boots and may not be able to join the excursion if their foot wear is not appropriate. Warm, water proof clothing is highly recommended.
- Walking information: The hike is approximately 3 miles long with over 50 steps to negotiate. This is not a walk; rather it is a challenging hike and passengers must be reasonably fit to participate.
