We will start by a stroll through the lively harbour of the fishing village Patreksfjörður, learn about the importance of the fisheries for the village and get to know some different kinds of fish.

The village has a beautiful church which we will visit inside. We will walk to the snow avalanche protection wall for the best view over the fjord. The village is rich of history as base of English and French sailors, merchants and navy mariners. On the way back to the harbour we will visit the memorial of the French fishermen and the memorial of the British fishermen.
