This panoramic tour takes you to the northern part of Tenerife. Leaving the port of Santa Cruz behind, we head north, passing Orotava Valley, a vast fertile basin at the foot of Mount Teide that extends all the way to the sea.
A photo stop is made at Humboldt Viewpoint to capture the spectacular view of La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz, the main tourist resort in the north part of the island.
The tour continues to San Pedro on the northern coast for another panoramic photo stop, before we descend into Puerto de la Cruz for a coach tour through the city, passing by Playa Jardin.
Puerto de la Cruz was originally developed as a port for the affluent town of La Orotaca, which exported sugar and wine to the New World. The old town has a distinct Canarian character.
Enjoy some free time in Puerto de la Cruz before the return trip to the ship.
