We travel by bus from the harbour in Eidi to the famous and historical stacks, called the Giant and the Witch. You will meet a sheep farmer who will tell you about the Faroese sheep. You can cuddle and hold a lamb if you like.
Proceed to the village of Gjogv to explore its hidden marvel, a chasm cut deep into the basalt by the relentless sea. From Gjogv, you follow the twisting mountain road down to Funningur, where the Vikings first settled. Slipping along a narrow fjord, you make your way back to the main road and through a tunnel back to the west side of Eysturoy with view over the ‘bridge over the Atlantic’, connecting the two main islands Eysturoy and Streymoy. We’ll stop for a brief photo session above village Eiði before returning to the ship.
