The Heineken brewery in Amsterdam is a national monument listed in the European Route of Industrial Heritage. After the beer production was moved to a new plant, the Heineken brewery was completely renovated and turned into the Heineken Experience. The Heineken Experience takes you on a journey through the history of the company, introduces you to the different generations of the Heineken family and teaches you all about the world’s most famous beer.
After a short transfer by coach from the cruise terminal to the city centre, your tour will pass by the Baroque-style Royal Palace at the Dam square (the Queen’s residence when she visits the city), the Nieuwe Kerk or New Church (a 550-year old church, site of numerous inaugurations and resting place of many important Dutchmen), the Mint Tower (built in 1618 over a medieval gate, a place where coins were minted), the central railway station (constructed on an artificial island of wooden piles) and the 15th century’s Weeper’s tower.
On completion of the tour you will be returned to your ship by coach.
