For the nature enthusiast, this is an exclusive opportunity to learn more about the flora and fauna of the Falkland’s. We start at Whalebone Cove just outside Stanley. You will see the shipwreck of "Lady Elizabeth" dominating the eastern part of the harbour, where she has been since 1936.
Search, see and then check species off the list as you go
We meet our guide who will distribute an illustrated checklist and give a general background to the wildlife and what you might expect to see. Enjoy the spectacular views of Stanley before the walk begins. This tour entails almost 5 kilometres of brisk walking over uneven terrain. Hopefully you will see the Falkland thrush, upland and kelp geese, long-tailed meadowlark, Falkland steamer duck, Magellan penguins, various endemic ferns, shrubs and grasses, scurvy grass and Diddle-Dee.
