View cannery row and the boat harbour on our drive into the city. Photo opportunities abound as we explore the influences of Native American and Russian cultures on the area.  We stop at the Baranov Museum, offering a mixture of Native, Russian and American history.  Then a visit the Alutiiq Museum to gain a more in-depth look at Alaska Native culture.

After a short drive north, we enjoy sweeping views from Fort Abercrombie, a historic defence installation for the North Pacific during World War II.  The site offers a bunker museum of wartime memorabilia as well as beautiful views of both land and sea.
