Covid-19 Groups Re-booking Policy

To ensure the flexibility and comfort of already booked guests, Hurtigruten introduces a new flexible and risk-free rebooking policy for groups.

We understand that even though a guest is part of a group, it is very likely that different people will want to rebook to different dates. Therefore, we have put together re-booking solutions that will cover most re-booking scenarios, so that you as an agent are able to provide the best service possible to your clients.

  • This policy applies for all guests booked on departures between 18. March through 30. September 2020. We offer rebooking, without any rebooking fee, to any future Hurtigruten cruise - Expedition or Norwegian Coastal - for departures between 1 July 2020 and 31 December 2021.
  • You need to claim your rebooking by e-mail to [email protected] by 30 April 2020.
  • If you have a group departure date in March and April, you need to notify Hurtigruten at least 48 hours prior to when your group was originally scheduled to commence their travel.

RE-BOOKING SCENARIOS

  1. Agent wants to rebook most/all guest in the group as FIT to separate sailings
    1. A Hurtigruten Future Cruise Voucher will be issued to individual guests based on what is paid to Hurtigruten. They will also get a 10% discount on a future cruise.
    2. Guests that do not wish to rebook will be able to stay in the group with the original departure date. No changes to price if group falls below minimum numbers on original departure date.
  2. Agent wants to rebook entire group to future departure
    1. Full voucher value of the group will be carried over to new group departure, plus 10% discount.
    2. Original payment and cancellation terms will apply for the new group booking.
    3. We will allow free name change in the group, but the 10% discount will then be eliminated for new delegates.
  3. Agent wants to rebook part of the group to a new departure, and some as FIT to separate departures
    1. A Hurtigruten Future Cruise Voucher at the value of the number of guests that will be rebooked to new group departure will be carried over, plus 10% discount.
    2. We will allow free name change in the group, but the 10% discount will then be eliminated for new delegates
    3. Remaining group size for the new date should be minimum of 10 guests, though requests can be made for reduced minimum group size. Normal rules apply for Tour Leaders.
    4. Original payment and cancellation terms will apply for the new group booking.
    5. Guests that wish to travel on a different departure as FIT will receive a Hurtigruten Future Cruise Voucher based on what they have paid. They will also get a 10% discount on your future cruise.

If guests do not wish to rebook, normal cancellation fees apply to all the above options.

If the group has not been paid to Hurtigruten at the time of rebooking, the process is equal to the above, but a Hurtigruten Future Cruise Voucher will not be issued by Hurtigruten.

 

On departures where Hurtigruten has cancelled operation the following policy applies:

  • A changed reservation will be credited as a Hurtigruten Future Cruise Voucher in the amount of 125% of what is paid to Hurtigruten. You will also get a 10% discount on a future cruise.
  • This offer only applies to bookings that have been cancelled by us because of our decision to cancel the sailing. This offer does not apply to guests which have already accepted our previous offer to rebook to another sailing prior to this date/time.

2. Agent wants to rebook entire group to future departure

3. Agent wants to rebook part of the group to a new departure, and some as FIT to separate sailings

4. Agent wants to cancel the group entirely

If the group has not been paid to Hurtigruten at the time of rebooking, the process is equal to the above, but a Hurtigruten Future Cruise Voucher will not be issued by Hurtigruten.
