This 5 day short break travels to the northern most regions of the magnificent Norwegian coastline. The entire journey is spent above the Arctic Circle, offering a unique chance to experience the spellbinding Midnight Sun when travelling in July.
Your journey begins in Tromsø, with a leisurely voyage north. We then head to the sheltered harbour of Kirkenes, a mere 10km from the Russian border. The return journey from Kirkenes to Tromsø hugs the coastline and you will revisit remote settlements which rely on Hurtigruten ships to maintain contact with the rest of Norway. During this voyage, there are opportunities to join excursions to the North Cape or a trip to the Russian border.
Itinerary
Day 1 Fly from London Stansted to Tromsø & transfer to the ship for embarkation (D).
Day 2 – 3 Enjoy the voyage passing North Cape & sailing north towards Kirkenes (B, D).
Day 4 Arrive in Tromsø just before midnight, disembark ship & transfer to a centrally located hotel for an overnight stay (B, D).
Day 5 Morning transfer to the airport for return flights (via Oslo) (B).

This 6 day itinerary is the perfect introduction to Norway and the Norwegian Coastal Voyage. Travel southbound from Tromsø across the Arctic Circle towards Bergen, the gateway to the fjords, where you will stay overnight before your return flight to the UK. Along the way you can take part in a Sea Eagle Safari and enjoy a FREE sightseeing excursion in Trondheim, the Viking capital of Norway with its fine example of medieval and impressive wooden architecture.
Itinerary
Day 1 Fly from London Stansted to Tromsø & transfer to the ship for embarkation.
Day 2 – 4 Enjoy your voyage sailing south to Bergen (B, D).
Day 5 Arrive Bergen early afternoon, disembark & transfer to hotel for overnight stay (B).
Day 6 Depending on your return flight you may have some time to explore Bergen before your transfer to the airport for the return flight (B).
