On this excursion we head to the Tromsø Wilderness Centre on Kvaløya Island, a scenic area with views of the ocean and mountains. Here we will meet more than 250 huskies and puppies, receive an introduction to dog sledge driving andlearn about the world’s longest dog sledge race, the Iditarod, presented through pictures and film footage.
It’s important to wear good footwear if you want to join the Wilderness Centre’s guide in exploring the plant and bird life around the centre, before meeting back in the traditional Sámi tent (lavvo) for a hot drink and a slice of cake.Excursion code: H-TOS5C
