Celebrate the dawn of 2013 in style by joining our unique New Year departure. Sailing from Bergen, this one-off itinerary on board MS Midnatsol offers an exclusive chance to see in the New Year in Tromsø, the ‘Paris of the North’, also known as the gateway to the Arctic.

Take part in the traditional New Year festivities, experiencing the renowned
spectacle of the mountain fireworks that create a colourful and magical atmosphere in the midnight polar sky.

To start the evening you can enjoy a special service in the Arctic Cathedral, one of the most famous landmarks in Tromsø.

After the celebrations, you sail north to Honningsvåg, where you begin the New
Year with an optional special excursion to mainland Europe’s northernmost point, the North Cape.
This is possibly one of the most breathtaking places in the world to welcome in a new year. Our visit concludes with a stunning New Year concert in the North Cape caves.

Join us for a joyous New Year celebration that you will remember for years to come. Afterwards you stay on board as your ship continues its regular sailing schedule.
The on board entertainment with classical musicians from Tromsø to North Cape (Honningsvåg) includes a programme of classical concerts, available for all guests.
