The winter polar light creates an inspiring setting for a trip which combines practical guidance for water colour painting with more general talks on artists and their influences.
This stimulating voyage will appeal to those who wish to learn to paint, people with a general interest in art and also to accomplished water colour artists. Beginning in Bergen on the Voyage North, you gently sail through the wonders of winter Norway. An experienced art teacher will give you guidance as we try to recreate the winter landscapes or still-life scenes. A second lecturer will give informal talks on art and painting.
The ever-changing scenery and the changes of light during the day will provide ample material to try to capture on paper. Your journey will be enhanced by regular lessons on painting techniques and lectures on art.
If you have an interest in art or wish to discover or develop your skills, make the most of this wonderful opportunity. In addition to many happy memories you will be taking home a truly individual memento of your voyage.
No previous experience is necessary, basic painting equipment will be provided.
