The dramatic Lofoten Islands are shrouded in legends and this special itinerary allows us to spend three full days exploring this hidden corner of Norway. Combined with visits to Oslo and Bergen and including several nights on the southbound Hurtigruten voyage, this tour is for those who wish to know more about heritage and life along the Norwegian coastline.
Day 1
Arrive Oslo. Overnight at hotel in the heart of the city.
Day 2
Free day to explore Oslo and its museums, or enjoy optional excursions which can be booked locally.
Day 3
Private transfer to airport. Fly to Bodø and join the afternoon northbound Hurtigruten vessel to Svolvær in the Lofoten Islands, with dinner included on board. Transfer to Svinøya Rorbuer cosy fishermans cabins, where we spend the next three nights on a half board basis.
Day 4 - 5
Free time to explore Svolvær and the Lofoten Islands. Many excursions and activities are available locally and there are a number of walks or cycle rides that can be taken from our base here.
Day 6
After a free day in Svolvær, we transfer to the quayside for the early evening departure on the southbound Coastal Voyage, with our evening meal on the ship.
Day 7 - 8
Continue southbound on the Hurtigruten route towards Bergen.
Day 9
Arrive Bergen in the early afternoon. Transfer to our comfortable hotel where we spend the night.
Day 10
Transfers to Bergen airport for homewards flights to the UK.
*Dinner is not included on Days 1, 2 and 9.
