Uummannaq Church, built of huge granite blocks, is right in the centre of the town. There are also traditional turf huts nearby the church. The town museum displays include replicas of the costumes of the famous Qilakitsoq mummies and collections of traditional arts and crafts, and a special exhibition about the expedition of the German meteorologist Alfred Wegener. Both, the church and the museum, have an entrance fee of approx 20 DKK.
