Nestling at the foot of the Andes, Chile’s lively capital, Santiago, is the departure point for international flights following many of our Antarctic Voyages.
A fascinating city in itself, Santiago boasts an impressive location and rich colonial heritage, offering no shortage of activities to occupy our time here
A few hours bus journey from here is the intriguing city of Valparaiso, UNESCO World Heritage Site, bustling port and cultural capital of Chile, this city was home to the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, who won the Nobel Prize in 1971.
During our time here, you will be able to choose from excursions including a city tour, theatre visits or a day trip to Valparaiso (bookable locally).
