Amongst the wild landscapes of the Southern Oceans lie some of nature’s most pristine and awe-inspiring creations, where whales and penguins, seals and seabirds breed and hunt amidst the dramatic tableaux of the White Continent. This fabulous journey takes you into the heart of this beguiling wilderness, capturing the very essence of a world where man can only watch in awe as Mother Nature weaves an unending spell of mystery and majesty at the bottom of the world. Traveling on board MS Nordnorge we benefit from the comfort and security of our specially designed vessel, enjoying the thrill and exhilaration of exploring these remarkable landscapes and their fascinating wildlife with regular landings and excursions by inflatable Polar Cirkel boats.
For your ease and convenience the itinerary described below is based on your South America package and voyage and does not include intercontinental flights. This gives you the flexibility of adding your own flights whether it’s through Hurtigruten, online, through your local travel agent or by using your Airmiles.

Voyage Itinerary
Day 1 – 2
Arrive in Buenos Aires. Free day.
Day 3
Fly Ushuaia, embark ship, set sail for Falkland Islands.
Days 4
At sea.
Day 5
Visit West Point Island off the coast of West Falkland. Chance to see rockhopper penguins and black-browed albatross.
Day 6
Sail into New Island, a privately owned wildlife refuge that is home to colonies of fur and elephant seals, Magellanic and gentoo penguins and a myriad of seabirds.
Day 7
Visit Port Stanley, capital of the Falkland Islands.
Days 8 - 9
At sea, sailing towards Antarctica.
Days 10 - 14
In Antarctica. Our itinerary will be weather and sea dependent but the aim is to spend our days experiencing a rich diversity of the continent’s amazing scenic and natural splendour, utilising our Polar Cirkel boats to enjoy a range of landings and excursions.
Days 15 - 16
Cross the Drake Passage back to Ushuaia, passing Cape Horn en route.
Day 17
Arrive back in Ushuaia and disembark ship. Fly Buenos Aires.
Day 18
Depart Buenos Aires.
